SALES
My greatest gain in sales experience has been with my current employer Whole Foods. As my position of a Produce Manager would dictate is to consistently be making a profit margin. The company keeps track of this statistic daily and thus my job duties consisted of a daily plan to make every possible dollar. There are many variables to this, from executing awesome over the top displays and also a big part of that is making sure there is always enough product on the shelves and in the stockroom to meet what the customers want. Projecting what and how much of something you think will sell and not going overboard due to spoiling is something that takes on hand experience and although I always succeeded on those variables.
COMMUNICAT... As you will see most of my employment positions held are from a retail area. Communication is an essential part of the industry and being outgoing makes a huge difference in any sales situation as well as making the person/customer you are talking to feel comfortable and not awkward. In addition to this I have worked my way up to leadership levels in almost every place of employment I have held. This happened on effective communication skills as well as hard work. Being able to lead a team takes a great ability to direct and receive feedback from team peers. I consider my communication abilities to be a great asset to having me as an employee.
